We’re thrilled to share that our team successfully completed 3 CHS in Practice sessions in Saida, Tyre, and Beirut!
We’re excited to share that our team has successfully completed three sessions as part of the “CHS in Practice” events!

The sessions were held in Saida, Tyre, and Beirut, bringing together 73 international and national NGOs and 4 municipalities.

We were honored to have Mr. Bonaventure Sokpoh from the CHS Alliance join us online to welcome participants and introduce the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) — setting the tone for the sessions with his inspiring words on accountability and quality in humanitarian work.

These interactive sessions aimed to:
✅ Introduce participants to the CHS and its key commitments.
✅ Share practical examples from Nabaa, the first NGO in Lebanon to achieve CHS certification, showing how we integrate the standard in our practices.
✅ Provide guidance on conducting CHS self-assessments, reflecting the strong interest from NGOs in adopting the standard.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing partner ABAAD MENA, whose team shared how their impactful work aligns with the CHS commitments.

We also thank our partners and fellow CHS Alliance members: Save the Children International - Lebanon (SCI) and Norwegian Refugee Council for their great contributions:
 • The SCI team shared how SCI and Nabaa collaborate to strengthen community capacity on risk and emergency preparedness.
 • The NRC team highlighted data protection and provided examples of how NRC and Nabaa ensure transparent and confidential information sharing.

Finally, a big thank you to all municipalities who joined, especially Saida and Tyre, for their valuable input on how coordination (Commitment 6 of CHS) enhances collaboration between NGOs and local authorities for greater community impact.

Together, we’re strengthening accountability and quality across Lebanon’s humanitarian sector! 💪🌍
