Developmental Action without Borders – Naba’a, and in partnership with Basmeh & Zeitooneh Association, successfully concluded the implementation of the Basic Literacy and Numeracy (BLN) classes, reaching a total of 225 children aged between 8 and 14, at Naba’a Center in Bourj Hammoud, Beirut.

The classes aimed to empower children affected by crises by equipping them with essential reading, writing, and numeracy skills within a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. This approach enhanced their opportunities to integrate into formal education and contributed to reducing the risk of school dropout.

Throughout the project’s implementation, awareness and guidance sessions were organized for parents and caregivers on positive parenting practices, highlighting their role in supporting children’s psychological well-being and behavior. In parallel, recreational and psychosocial activities were conducted for children, culminating in the organization of a community open day that brought together children, caregivers, and the implementing team in an engaging and supportive atmosphere.

This activity was implemented as part of Basmeh & Zeitooneh’s project funded by the Lebanon Humanitarian Fund (LHF), with Developmental Action without Borders – Naba’a acting as a sub-implementing partner. The project reflects the continued commitment of both organizations to uphold children’s right to education within a safe and supportive environment that ensures them a better future.

On #InternationalDayOfEducation, we reaffirm our commitment to every child’s right to education, in accordance with Article 28 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which guarantees free and compulsory education for all.

اختتمت جمعية عمل تنموي بلا حدود – #نبع، وبالشراكة مع جمعية #بسمة_وزيتونة، تنفيذ صفوف محو الأمية والمهارات الحسابية الأساسية (BLN)، والتي استهدفت 225 طفلًا تتراوح أعمارهم بين 8 و14 عامًا، في مركز جمعية نبع – برج حمود في #بيروت.

هدفت هذه الصفوف إلى #تمكين_الأطفال المتأثرين بالأزمات من اكتساب المهارات الأساسية في القراءة والكتابة والحساب، ضمن بيئة تعليمية آمنة، شاملة وداعمة، تُعزّز فرص اندماجهم في التعليم الرسمي وتُسهم في الحد من مخاطر التسرّب المدرسي.

وخلال فترة تنفيذ المشروع، تم تنظيم جلسات توعية وتوجيه للأهالي ومقدّمي الرعاية (caregivers) حول مفاهيم التربية الإيجابية وأثرها في دعم الصحة النفسية والسلوكية للأطفال، إلى جانب تنفيذ أنشطة ترفيهية وداعمة للأطفال، تُوّجت بتنظيم يوم مفتوح جمع الأطفال، الأهالي، والفريق المنفّذ في أجواء تفاعلية مليئة بالفرح والدعم.

يأتي تنفيذ هذا النشاط ضمن إطار مشروع جمعية بسمة وزيتونة المموّل من #الصندوق_الإنساني_للبنان (Lebanon Humanitarian Fund – LHF)، وبالشراكة مع جمعية نبع كشريك منفّذ فرعي، في سياق الجهود المشتركة للجمعيتين لدعم حق الأطفال في التعليم وتأمين بيئة آمنة وداعمة تضمن لهم مستقبلًا أفضل.
