The Community Development Centre of Developmental Action Without Borders – Naba’a welcomed Norway’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, his Excellency Espen Barth Eide, accompanied by the Ambassador of Norway to Lebanon and an official Norwegian delegation, for a dialogue organized by Save the Children International, placing children’s rights and meaningful child participation at the heart of the discussion.
This time, children were not the subject of the conversation - they were leading it.
Children from Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria shared their experiences, priorities, and recommendations on education, protection, displacement, and the right to live with dignity. They also presented their initiatives and advocacy efforts, from Saida to international human rights mechanisms in Geneva.
Their message was clear:
“Do not speak about children without listening to them.”
At Naba’a, we believe that child participation is not a courtesy or symbolic presence. It is a fundamental right. Children are active partners in shaping change and influencing the decisions that affect their lives, their present, and their future.

من صيدا… أصوات الأطفال تصل إلى صنّاع القرار.
استقبل مركز التنمية المجتمعية التابع لجمعية «عمل تنموي بلا حدود – نبع» وزير الخارجية النرويجي إسبن بارث إيدي، برفقة سفيرة النرويج في لبنان ووفد رسمي نرويجي، في لقاء نظمته منظمة «إنقاذ الطفل الدولية» ووضع حقوق الأطفال ومشاركتهم في صلب الحوار.
هذه المرة، لم يكن الأطفال موضوع الحديث… بل كانوا هم من قادوه.
شارك أطفال من لبنان وفلسطين وسوريا تجاربهم وأولوياتهم وتوصياتهم حول التعليم والحماية والنزوح والعيش بكرامة، وعرضوا مبادراتهم وجهودهم في المناصرة، من صيدا وصولاً إلى آليات حقوق الإنسان في جنيف.
رسالتهم كانت واضحة:
«لا تتحدثوا عن الأطفال من دون أن تستمعوا إليهم.»
في «نبع»، نؤمن بأن مشاركة الأطفال ليست مجاملة أو حضوراً رمزياً، بل حق أساسي، وأن الأطفال شركاء حقيقيون في صناعة التغيير والقرارات التي تمس حاضرهم ومستقبلهم.
